The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for portions of Ellis County until 3:45 p.m.
Just before 2 p.m., a severe thunderstorm was located near Yocemento moving southeast. The NWS said locations potentially impacted include Hays, Antonino, Schoenchen, Munjor and Toulon.
Three-inch hail could be possible with the storm, along with 50 mph winds. The storm also carries the potential of a tornado.
