The Kansas Department of Transportation will begin resurfacing work on 18 miles of K-9 in Phillips County starting July 21.
Work will consist of a 1-inch mill and 2-inch overlay beginning at the Norton County line and ending at the U.S. 183 junction in Glade. Traffic will be directed through the work zone by flaggers and a pilot car during daylight hours, and minor delays should be expected.
KDOT anticipates work to be completed by the end of September, weather permitting.
Venture Corporation is the primary contractor for the $2.3 million project. For more information, contact KDOT area construction engineer Jim Riener at 785-543-2163 or [email protected].
