Diane Aileen Schlageck, Munjor, Kansas, our beloved sister and friend passed away Monday, March 28, 2022, at Ascension Via Christi in Wichita Kansas of a cerebral aneurysm. She was 58 years old.
Diane was born November 1, 1963, in Norton, Kansas, the youngest of Donald and Dorothy Stuvick. She attended school in Norton, played in band and developed a life time love of music, especially rock and roll. She also excelled at art and after graduating Norton Community High School she continued on to Fort Hays State University. Diane graduated with a bachelor's degree. She loved the Hays area and continued to live there after graduation. Diane started working in the bar business in college and continued to serve customers and make friends. She worked Dick's in Catharine and later opened Brauny's in Munjor. She built Brauny's into a successful business and the local meeting spot making many good friends along the way. Later Diane worked at Dillions in the deli and the VWF in Hays. Diane worked hard, loved to serve people and always loved and cared for animals. She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.
Diane is survived by her older brothers, David Stuvick and his wife Rhonda, Garden City, Kansas and Doug Stuvick and his wife Gina, Highlands Ranch, Colorado and her partner Jeff Crawford, Gorham Kansas. She was preceded in death by her parents Donald and Dorothy Stuvick.
A celebration of her life will be held at noon Saturday, April 16th, at the VWF 2106 Vine St, Hays, KS 67601. All family and friends are welcome.
