Wild West Festival
The Wild West Festival Committee has officially announced Coby Ingram as the winner of the 2025 New Logo Contest, marking the beginning of a refreshed visual identity for the annual summer celebration in Hays.
Ingram's design, chosen by public vote from a competitive field of entries, will serve as the official Wild West Festival logo for future events. The updated design represents a new era for the festival while honoring its longstanding community roots and Western spirit.
Julie Edgeman, president of the Wild West Festival Committee, said the contest was a great way to bring the public into the branding process for one of Hays' most anticipated events.
“It was exciting to see the creativity and passion that came through in all of the submissions,” Edgeman said. “The community really showed up, both in submitting designs and casting their votes. We’re thrilled with the new logo and proud of the engagement from our supporters.”
Ingram, who hails from a small town near Hays, said the opportunity to contribute to such a significant local tradition was personally meaningful.
"I am so excited to have my logo chosen as the official Wild West Festival Logo. I spent countless hours on it and I am glad people like it as much as I do," Ingram said. “I decided to join this contest because I love the festival and what it stands for and I think it really brings the community together. Since I'm from an even smaller town than Hays, I've never really experienced anything like Wild West Fest.”
His design, which introduces a modern flair while still capturing the essence of the festival, struck a chord with voters who appreciated the updated yet familiar look.
“Even though I love the original design, I think it was definitely time for some modernization and I hope my logo was a step in the right direction,” Ingram said. “Thank you so much to the Wild West Festival committee for organizing this contest, everyone who voted, and thank you so much to my girlfriend Alexis Pfannenstiel for all of your help. I couldn't have kerned this logo without you.”
The logo contest was open to the public and accepted submissions through early March.
Finalists were selected by the festival committee before a public vote determined the winner.
Tickets for the 2025 Wild West Festival are currently available for purchase online at wildwestfestival.com.
Physical tickets will also be available at local outlets in the coming weeks.
This year’s festival will run from July 3 through July 6, featuring three days of live concerts, a parade, and more.
