After Scott City converted on a pair of first downs on their opening drive only to see the TMP defense come up with the big stop and force a punt.
The punt pinned TMP inside their own five-yard line, a theme that would persist throughout the game.
After a short TMP put Scott City strung together a five play, 31-yard drive that was capped off by the first of four touchdown runs for Brady Welker.
Down 7-0 TMPโs Kade Harris returned the ensuing kickoff 94 yards to tie the game at 7 with just over five minutes left in the first quarter.
Scott City added a second touchdown just two minutes into the second quarter for a 14-7 lead.
The TMP defense was able to stand tough to end the first half and maintain the 14-7 score heading into the halftime break.
The two teams played to a stalemate for more than nine minutes in third quarter before Austin Gilbert forced a Scott City fumble that Harris returned for a 74-yard touchdown tying the game at 14 each.
The Scott City clamped down on TMP in the fourth quarter while outscoring the Monarchs 14-0 as the Beavers clinched their ninth straight win over TMP 28-14.
TMP opens district play next Friday at home against Russell.
