The Kansas Department of Transportation plans to close K-123 on Friday.
The highway will be closed for reconstruction starting at the K-23 junction in Sheridan County and ending at the K-383 junction in Decatur County.
Traffic should follow the signed detour route on K-23, K-223 and K-383. KDOT expects the project to be completed by the end of November, weather permitting.
McCormick Excavation and Paving of Colby is the primary contractor for the $4.4 million project.
