Hays city commissioners will hear a status report about the operations of Hays Regional Airport and its carrier SkyWest/United from consultant Gary Foss of The ArkStar Group during their meeting this afternoon.
The draft 2026 city budget calls for a one mill increase allocated to the airport, from 1.5 to 2.5 mills. The total mill levy for the city would remain at 25 mills.
Also on the agenda are two resolutions regarding bond sales for infrastructure at city-owned Interstate 70 Exit 161 and public infrastructure improvements at The Grove, 27th and Canterbury.
