COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Fort Hays State seniors Isebel Robben (women's soccer) and Clay Robinson (football) received the 2024 National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) All-American Athlete Award. Both receive the honor based off athletic accomplishments and dedication to strength and training, nominated for the award by Fort Hays State Strength and Conditioning Coach Doug Boucher.
Robben was a two-time All-MIAA selection at goalkeeper for FHSU, earning second-team honors in 2022 and third-team honors in 2023. She was a CSC Academic All-America First Team selection in 2022 at goalkeeper. Robben broke the FHSU single-season record for shutouts in a season with 12 in 2023, topping a record of 11 she previously shared with two other players. Robben played all 1,890 minutes possible in goal for the Tigers in 2023. She also owns the school record for individual shutouts by a goalkeeper in a career with 23. She finished her career with a record of 24-8-10 and an .801 career save percentage with a 0.68 career goals against average. Robben is a double major at FHSU in Accounting and Finance.
Robinson was a member of the Tiger football team for five years and was a December 2023 graduate with a degree in Criminal Justice. He played in a total of 31 games, appearing in all 22 games throughout his junior and senior seasons. As a running back, Robinson had 36 career rushing attempts for 248 yards, producing a 6.9 yards per attempt average. He had four rushing touchdowns as a Tiger. He also saw a good amount of time on Tiger special teams units.
