
Dangerously low wind chills will continue Thursday, with some light snow also possible, the National Weather Service in Dodge City reported.
Wind chill indices across west-central Kansas could dip as low as 15 below zero, the NWS said.
There is a 20 percent chance of snow Wednesday night after 4 a.m., increasing to 50 percent Thursday morning. Less than an inch of accumulation is expected in the Hays area.
The mercury will drop to 3 degrees Wednesday night, with a high of just 18 degrees expected Thursday. A high of 35 and low of 10 is expected Friday, before milder conditions return this weekend. A high of 46 is predicted Saturday, with a high in the upper-50s expected Sunday.
