More than 100 developmentally disabled individuals were honored during the Shine Thru Drive Thru Promenade Parade in downtown Hays on Saturday.
COVID-19 forced the cancellation of the annual Night to Shine dance.
In years past, the Night to Shine prom sponsored by the Tim Tebow foundation has included 800 to 1,000 people gathering at Celebration Community Church.

Promenade guests received goodie bags at a stop at the Hays Aquatic Park. This included a crown or tiara for each guest. A Night to Shine tradition has been to crown each participant a queen or king for the night.
Community members gathered along Main Street to cheer on the participants, including Fort Hays State University cheerleaders and students as well as Victor E. Tiger.
