NW Kansas woman injured after car strikes post on I-70

TREGO COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just after 9:30p.m. Sunday in Trego County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2000 Buick LeSebre driven by Justin L. Johnson, 26, Collyer, was westbound 0n Interstate 70 near Ogallah in the driving lane.

The car came up on a vehicle traveling at a much slower speed. The driver attempted to perform an avoidance maneuver. The Buick left the roadway to the right, entered the north ditch. The front passenger door of the Buick struck a delineator post.

A passenger — Jessa D. Johnson, 26, Collyer — was transported via private vehicle to Trego County-Lemke Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Justin Johnson was not injured, and both were properly restrained.
