Kathryn "Kathy" L. Blackwell, 75, passed away August 30, 2021, at Diversicare of Larned.
She was born June 17, 1946, in Wichita; the daughter of Hobert Jr. and Betty Jane Foster Yates. A longtime area resident, she was a Homemaker.
She was member of the First Presbyterian Church, Ladies Golf, Ladies Bowling and Bridge Club, all of Larned.
On February 18, 1968, she married David B. Blackwell in Dighton, Kansas. He survives.
Other survivors include; two daughters, Michelle Bradley, Wichita, and Staci (Tyson) Bundy, Riverside, Missouri; two brothers, Ron (Marilyn) Yates, Dodge City, David Yates, Healy; and five grandchildren, Sydney, Adam, Kash, Ace and Layla.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Janie Randles and her parents, Hobert and Betty Yates.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, the First Presbyterian Church, Larned with Pastor Bill Stapleton presiding. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday with family present from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned. Burial will be in the Larned Cemetery.
