NWS: Bundle up, colder air is on the way to western Kan.

The National Weather Service in Dodge City said that a cold air mass moving into western Kansas will bring unseasonably cold temperatures Tuesday — with much of the day spent in the 30s.

The high temperature in Hays is projected to be just 40 degrees on Tuesday.

The front will bring with a chance for precipitation, as well. There is a 30 to 50 percent chance of rain or snow in Ellis County from Monday night through Wednesday afternoon.
