Game 2:
Hays jumped out early with three runs in the first and one in the second. They added another in the fourth before the game was halted.

All three of Hays’ first inning runs came with two outs. Brynlee Brous drove in the first run with a single, then after a single by B Dinkel and and a walk to L Becker, Hays scored two on an error on a grounder to third off the bat of Avery Raymer.

Jaylee Summer walked and scored on an error in the second.

Adalie Kippes drove in the fifth run on a groundout in the fourth which allowed Summers to score for a second time and put the Indians up 5-0.

The Indians scored their sixth, and final run, of the game when Kippes hit a sacrifice fly to right field to score Gianna Offutt.

Manhattan tried to make it interesting in the final two innings. They scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth. One of the runs came on an error and the other on a wild pitch. Their lone run in the seventh came on a single following Hays' third error of the night.

Jaylee Summers picked up the complete game victory. She struck out five and walked one. None of the three runs allowed were earned. Summers allowed just five hits.

Brynlee Rupp, Brynlee Brous and Avery Raymer each had two hits. Hays had eight total and walked five times.

Hays finishes the season at 12-14 and now waits for the regional brackets to come out on Saturday.
