Larry Ray Sarver, 88, of Natoma, Kansas, passed away on October 30, 2026, at the Rooks County Health Center in Plainville, Kansas. He was born on January 1, 1938, in Hays, Kansas, to Orville and Lavada (Hubbard) Sarver. On May 25, 1991, he married Marlene (Kisner) Lang in Hays, Kansas. Together, they shared a loving family of seven children: Connie, Lonnie, Sherry, Lynn, Daren, Mae, and Lance

Larry grew up in Laton, Kansas, and graduated from Natoma High School in 1955. He continued his education at Fort Hays State University, where he attended for two years.

Farming was more than an occupation for Larry; it was a way of life and something he truly loved. He took great pride in his work and remained devoted to the land and the farming community. Larry was also dedicated to serving others and giving back to his community. He was a member of the Methodist Church and the Masonic Lodge and served on the Rooks County Water Board, Natoma School Board, Natoma Alumni Association, and Natoma Community Center Board.

Outside of farming and his community involvement, Larry enjoyed dancing, playing tennis, and gathering around the table for a good game of cards. He especially treasured the time spent with his wife and family, whether sharing stories, enjoying a family gathering, or simply being together. His love for farming, dedication to his community, and devotion to those closest to him were important parts of the life he lived.

Larry is survived by his wife, Marlene of the home near Natoma; children, Connie S. Munro of Wichita, KS, Lonnie Ray Sarver of Ashland, KS, Sherry (Harvey) Gerster of Walker, MO, Lynn (Elizabeth) Lang of Overland Park, KS, Daren (Dana) Lang of Victoria, KS, and Mae (Bill) Draney of Olathe, KS; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
