Norma Brungardt

Norma Brungardt, age 83 years old, of Ellis, Kansas, died Monday, November 1, 2021, at Bethel Home in Montezuma, Kansas.

She was born February 17, 1938, in Damar, Kansas to Dolphis Senesac and Clara (LaBarge) Senesac. She married Elmer Brungardt on September 1, 1956, in Damar. He preceded her in death on May 18, 2017.

Norma loved her family and spending time with them, attending Mass and would go daily and often twice on Sunday's, for many years she maintained the votive candles at St. Mary's. She also loved to play bingo. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church, Daughters of Isabella, and VFW Auxiliary.

Survivors include three sons, Dave (Joyce) Brungardt of Rosemount, MN; Jerry (Mary) Brungardt of Haysville, KS and Mike (Jeanette) Brungardt of Haysville, KS; three daughters, Sue (Duff) Watson and Connie (Rick) Brin all of Hays, KS and Debbie (Daron) Watson of Montezuma, KS; Ten grandchildren, Amanda (Ramon) Lopez of San Antonio TX; Audra O'Reagan (Dylan) of Hays, KS; Brandi Watson of Hays, KS and Nolan (Jessica) Watson of Manhattan KS; Kaylee (Reese) Loveland of Lee’s Summit MO; Cody and Cade Watson of Montezuma KS; Cassy (Ryan) Perkins, of Miltonvale KS; Justin Brungardt of Allen, TX and Brittany Brungardt of Haysville, KS, Four great-grandchilden, David Lopez of San Antonio, TX; Ryker and Knox O'Reagan of Hays, KS and Cash of Montezuma, KS; three sisters Greta Graf of Damar, KS; Wilma Hollerich of Tipton, KS and Kathy Freuenkron of Norman OK.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers: Carl, Lester, Eldo, Ronnie Senesac, sisters Doris Foster, Verna Fortner and Phylis Senesac; Grandchildren, Logan Watson, Monica Watson, and Rachel (Brungardt) Binder.

Services will be 10:00 AM Monday, November 8, 2021 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ellis, Kansas. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be Sunday 6 PM – 8 PM  and Monday 9:00 AM until service time all at St. Mary’s Church.

A combined Daughters of Isabella rosary and parish vigil service will be Sunday at 7:00 PM at the church.
