Angela Dawn Mangum

Goodland, KS resident Angela Dawn Mangum, 44, passed away on Friday, January 22, 2021, at the Presbyterian St. Luke’s Hospital in Denver, CO.

Angela was born to Jerry and Linda Goodell on March 16, 1976, in Visalia, California.  When Angie was 7 years old the family moved to Kansas, where she grew up in the town of Anthony.  

Angie married Troy Mangum on July 18, 2011.  She is the loving mother of Michael and MicKayla Mangum, to whom she devoted most of her time and energy.  Angie enjoyed the community of Goodland and having her children involved in the Special Olympics and 4-H.  She enjoyed the opportunity to volunteer and help in any way she could.

Preceding her in death were her father, Jerry Goodell, and her brother, Jeremy Goodell.

She is survived by her husband Troy Mangum, son Michael, daughter MicKayla, and best friend Sheri Thomas of Goodland, Kansas; her mother Linda Johnson and step-father Merlin of Fort Dodge, Iowa; her brother, Chris Goodell and sister-in-law Debbie of Bellingham, Washington; and her sister Melinda Brown, brother-in-law Jeff, and nieces Lilly, Ginny and Annabelle of Tulare, California.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 2:00 PM MT at the Goodland Cemetery with Pastor Doug Amend officiating.  The family asks everyone in attendance to please wear a mask and to practice social distancing. 

Memorial contributions may be designated to the Angela Mangum Children’s Memorial Fund and may be left at the services or mailed to Koons-Russell Funeral Home, 211 N. Main Ave., Goodland, KS 67735.
