Driver hospitalized after I-70 crash into motorhome

RUSSELL COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just before 2p.m. Thursday in Russell County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2004 Chevy SUV driven by Machelle L. Koralek, 50, Kanopolis, was eastbound on Interstate 70 just east of Pioneer Road.

The driver reported she blacked out. The SUV crossed into the right lane hitting drivers side of a 201 3 Airs Motorhome driven by Janis L. Trumpeter, 68, Florissant, Colorado.

EMS transported Trumpter to Russell Regional Hospital.  Koralek and a passenger in the motorhome were not injured. All three were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
