Midwest Energy's Hays, Kan., office is hiring a Manager of Distribution Engineering. The position oversees Midwest Energy electric distribution system planning and engineering functions for electric line and substation facilities 34.5kV and below. This position plans, organizes, directs and supervises assigned engineering staff, providing strategic support, project management, technical support and career developmental assistance.
A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited school of engineering is required. A minimum of seven years of increasingly responsible experience in the engineering and/or planning services in the electric utility industry is preferred. A successful candidate must also be licensed as a Professional Engineer in Kansas, or it is required to be obtained within two years of hire date.
