Big 12 Release
IRVING, Texas — Arizona State quarterback Sam Leavitt has been named the Big 12 Conference’s Preseason Offensive Player of the Year, headlining the 2025 Preseason All-Big 12 Football Team announced Monday.
The redshirt sophomore is one of five Sun Devils recognized on the preseason squad, the most of any school. Arizona State is coming off a Big 12 title in its first year as a member of the league.
Texas Tech linebacker Jacob Rodriguez, a senior, was named the Preseason Defensive Player of the Year, while Utah junior quarterback Devon Dampier was selected as Newcomer of the Year.
Texas Tech and Iowa State each had three players selected to the all-conference team.
