The Hays USD 489 school district will consider the purchase of an activity bus at its meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the Rockwell Administration Center.

The purchase is part of a five-year transportation plan.

The district has budgeted $260,000 for the purchase.

The board will discuss the purchase of new iPads for K-8 teachers. The cost of purchasing 175 devices is estimated at $51,000.

The district will review bids for the replacement of a buildings and grounds tractor for the district.

The district has received three bids ranging from $44,500 to $51,300.

The district will also discuss new staffing requests for the 2021-22 school year and a revision to the local biding policy, and hear an update on Wilson Elementary School from Principal Anita Scheve.
