Ellis County is under a tornado watch until 10 p.m.

Other affected counties include: BARTON, DECATUR, ELLSWORTH, GRAHAM, JEWELL, LINCOLN MITCHELL, NORTON, OSBORNE, PHILLIPS, RICE, ROOKS, RUSSELL, SHERIDAN, SMITH and TREGO.

A 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms are predicted mainly before 8 p.m., according to the Weather Service.

&nbsp;Northwestern Kansas counties are also under a tornado watch until 10 p.m., according to the National Weather Service in Goodland.&nbsp;
