John Schreiner, age 67, of WaKeeney, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, March 24th, 2021. He was born in Quinter Kansas on March 31, 1953, to Mike and Eula Schreiner. He attended Collyer grade school and Trego Community High School.
John was the owner/operator of Schreiner Trucking and spent his life in the grain, trucking, and farm business. John was a man of integrity who was known for his strong work ethic & reliability and still believed in doing business with a handshake. He was quiet, gentle, and kind but also a fun-loving, ornery prankster. His big smile and huge heart will be missed by all.
He is survived by his wife & soulmate Betty Schreiner; daughters Tina Hickson (Jason) from WaKeeney and Sherri Reishus (Matt) from Shawnee; six grandchildren: Morgan Moore, Cassidi Hickson, Gracie Hickson, Madison Reishus, Tyler Reishus, and Delaney Reishus; and sisters Carol Luetters and Trish Albin.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father Mike and Eula
Schreiner; brothers Ron and Daniel Schreiner; and sisters Theresa
Schwartz, Irene Jackson, and Viola Zimmerman.
Visitation is
scheduled for March 28 from 5 pm-7 pm at Schmitt Funeral Home, WaKeeney.
A funeral service is scheduled for 10 am Monday, March 29th, at WaKeeney Church of God in WaKeeney, Kansas.
