Elmer Lamaster, 88, died Thursday, February 24, 2022, at the Morton
County Hospital in Elkhart, Kansas. He was born March 14, 1933, in
Gate, Oklahoma.
Elmer served in the Korean Conflict and was honorably discharged in 1955
from the United States Army. After he returned home, he drove truck for
Robertson Tank Service, farmed, and retired in 2010 from Elkhart Co-op.
He enjoyed raising dogs, chickens and rabbits. Elmer attended
Hillcrest Baptist Church and was a member of the VFW Point Rock Post
#3162, which he proudly served on the Honor Guard.
Elmer is survived by his partner and friend, Viola Dunsworth of Elkhart;
sons, Ron Lamaster of Leoti and Calvin Lamaster of Rolla;
grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Elmer is preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Delbert Lamaster.
Funeral service will be held Monday, February 28, 2022, at 2:00 PM at
Hillcrest Baptist Church in Elkhart with Pastor Terrell Giddens
officiating. Interment will follow at the Elkhart Cemetery in Elkhart
with military rites conducted by VFW Point Rock Post #3162.
