RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Dimitry Tchantcheu of Fort Hays State was named GAC Co-Defender of the Week on Tuesday (Sept. 16). He helped Fort Hays State to a pair of shutouts last week as the Tigers moved to 2-0-2 overall on the season.
Tchantcheu played all 90 minutes of the scoreless draw against CSU Pueblo, helping the No. 22 ranked Tigers limit the No. 3 ranked Thunderwolves to just six shots in the match. He played all but two minutes of the match against Thomas More (Ky.) and took two shots, while helping the Tigers limit the Saints to just eight shots in the match. He helped the Tigers and goalkeeper Payton Roehrich earn two clean sheets for the week.
Tchantcheu shares the Defender of the Week honor for September 16, 2025 with Alex Laing of Rogers State. Yohsuke Ono of Newman was named the Offensive Player of the Week and Cameron McCulloch of Northeastern State was named the Goalkeeper of the Week.
