TREGO COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just before noon Tuesday in Trego County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2002 Chevy Tahoe driven by Saige Caroline Herl, 18, Hays, ran a stop sign at 13th and Barclay Avenue in WaKeeney. A 2017 Chevy Impala driven by Madison Elaine Waggoner, 21, Ellis, struck the driver side of the SUV.
EMS transported Herl to the Trego County Lemke Memorial Hospital. Waggoner was not injured. Both drivers were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
