Hays High senior Colin Clark finished the tennis season with a 12th place showing at the 5A State Tournament held on Friday and Saturday in Andover.
Clark won his first match on Friday by a 6-3, 6-1 score. Clark was seeded #15 out of 24 in the tournament.
Clark dropped his next match of the tournament to the #2 seed 6-2, 6-1. His opponent that match, Sanjay Rajkumar of Blue Valley Southwest, went on to win the singles state title.
He then recorded back-to-back wins to keep his season going. On the back side of the tournament a single set is played to eight points. Clark won 8-0 and 8-4.
Clark lost to the #8 seed 8-4 and then ended his season with a pair of 8-2 losses for the 12th place finish.
