WaKeeney—Western Cooperative Electric (WCE) is pleased to recognize Trustee Tim Stanton for earning the Board Leadership Certificate (BLC) through the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA).

The Board Leadership Certificate recognizes electric cooperative directors who demonstrate a commitment to strengthening their skills as effective board leaders.

The program provides continuing education focused on cooperative governance, leadership, strategic thinking, and the responsibilities associated with serving on an electric cooperative board.

As a member-owned organization, Western Cooperative Electric relies on an engaged and informed Board of Trustees to provide oversight, make important decisions, and help guide the cooperative’s future. Continuing education allows trustees to expand their knowledge of the electric cooperative industry and develop the leadership skills necessary to effectively represent the cooperative’s membership.

Stanton’s achievement reflects his commitment to professional development and his dedication to serving the members of Western Cooperative Electric.

The knowledge and perspective gained through NRECA’s educational programs provide valuable insight that can be brought back to the boardroom and applied to the cooperative’s ongoing work.

“Strong cooperative leadership requires a commitment to learning and understanding the challenges and opportunities facing our industry,” said WCE CEO/GM Nolan Numrich. “We appreciate Tim’s dedication to continuing his education and strengthening his leadership skills for the benefit of our cooperative and its members.”

Western Cooperative Electric congratulates Tim Stanton on earning his Board Leadership Certificate and thanks him for his continued service, leadership, and commitment to the cooperative and the members it serves.
