⚾ Larks beat Brigade for 10th-straight win

JUNCTION CITY – Trent Baker and Wilbert Espinal both homered and the Hays Larks used a couple of big innings to beat the Junction City Brigade 15-7 Monday at Rathert Stadium to run their winning-streak to 10 games.

Baker opened the game with a home run, Espinal put it away with a grand slam which was the punctuation mark of a seven-run seventh inning.

Trailing 2-1, the Larks (14-2) scored five in the third to take the lead for good. They used four-straight walks to tie the game 2-2. Garrett Gruell gave them the lead with an RBI single. Will Carpenter and Taber Stokes both added RBI singles.

Starter Mack Ortner (1-0) allowed two runs on two hits with five strikeouts and two walks over three innings and was awarded the win.
