WWF beer garden canceled; cereal malt beverage cans allowed

The Wild West Fest in Hays is still on, although it has been scaled back because of the coronavirus pandemic. 

There will still be concerts Municipal Park, and this year, they're free. The downtown parade theme is "Hometown Heroes," and the large fireworks display can be seen  July 4.

The concerts are on Friday night.

There will not be an enclosed beer garden due to current state guidelines. 

However, cereal malt beverages in cans are permitted in city parks. No glass containers are allowed.

Musical acts are Miles on End at 6:30 p.m., Lucas Maddy & The Kansas Cartel at 8 p.m. and Frank Werth & the Vibrations at 9:30 p.m.

There will be plenty of room to spread out and social distance.

The Downtown Hays Development Corporation is partnering with the city of Hays for even more fun during the annual July 4 weekend celebration.
