The Hays High girls’ held at No. 5 in the latest Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association 5A rankings out Tuesday afternoon. Shawnee Heights remains No. 1 with Basehor-Linwood second, Kapaun Mt. Carmel third and Newton fourth.
Six Indians continue to be ranked with not changes again this week. Sophomore Eleanor Stoffel remains second at 190, senior Tionna Napue second at 135, sophomore Timber Lovewell third at 145, junior Lexie Barnett third at 155, sophomore Kenlee Vehige fourth at 120 and sophomore Emersyn Copper sixth at 100.
Dalton Meyers remains third at 175 and Johnny Rigler fourth at 190 for the Hays High boys.
Oakley takes over the top spot in 321A girls’ poll switching spots with Norton who dropped to second. Russell remained third, Plainville fourth, Hoisington fifth and Stockton sixth.
Hoxie tops 321A boys with Norton second, Phillipsburg fourth, Russell fifth and Hill City eighth.
