THOMAS COUNTY—Two adults and two children were injured in an accident just after 1:30p.m. Friday in Thomas County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2008 Pontiac G6 driven by Brittany N. Fringer, 28, Hays, was southbound on Country Club Drive one half mile south of U.S. 24 behind a 2018 Ravo 5 series Street Sweeper driven by Hayes, Matthew A. Hayes, 50, Colby. Fringer attempted to move into the left lane to pass and rear-ended the Street Sweeper. The impact pushed the Street Sweeper onto the curb.
EMS transported Fringer, Hayes and passengers in the Pontiac, a 13-year-old and an 8-year-old girl, to Citizens Medical Center. All four were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
