The Ellis Lady Railroaders had seven medal winners over the weekend as they brought home a second-place team title from the state track and field championships in Wichita.
The TMP boys finished 19th with three top-seven finishers, led by Jackson Gillespie’s second-place finish in the boys 100 meters (10.92).

Ellis' Avery Boydston medaled in three events. She finished first in the 1600 meters (5:10.07), second in the 3200 meters (11:34.78) and 5th in the 800 meters.
Evelyn Merriman also earned gold in the 200 meters (25.54).
Clifton-Clyde edged Ellis 53.50 to 48 team points.
