The first of two bridge projects along K-9 in Phillips County is expected to start the week of March 4.

The Kansas Department of Transportation project will replace the bridge over Wolf Creek, located approximately 3.5 miles east of Logan. A shoofly detour will be constructed first that will carry traffic around the work zone while the new structure is being built.

KDOT plans to shift traffic on to the detour in mid-April. Work is expected to be complete in November, conditions permitting.

The second project is located 0.4 mile east of Logan and is scheduled to begin in June.

Bridges Inc. of Newton is the primary contractor for both projects with a combined contract cost of approximately $3.7 million. For more information, contact KDOT area construction manager Dan Moore at 785-302-6200 or [email protected].
