The Hays High girls dropped one spot to No. 8 in the latest Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association Class 5A rankings. The Indians have five individual ranked. Junior Timber Lovewell is third at 145, senior Lexi Barnett is third at 155, junior Eleanor Stoffel is fourth at 190, junior Kenlee Vehige is fifth at 120 and freshman Audrey Yarmer is ranked sixth at 105.
The Hays boys have three individuals ranked. Senior Johnny Rigler is third at 190, sophomore Archer Amrein is fifth at 175 and junior Tanner Geist is sixth at 285.
No change in the top two spots for 3-2-1A girls. Russell is No. 1 and Norton second. Oakley and Plainville flipped-flopped. The Plainsmen are now third and the Cardinals dropped to fourth. Smith Center dropped one spot to No. 6 and Phillipsburg holds at No. 8.
The Hoxie boys remain No. 1 in 3-2-1A. Norton dropped a spot to third, Ellsworth is seventh, Smith Center eighth and Russell ninth.
