The Ellis County Health Department on Wednesday announced 48 new cases of COVID-19 had been identified since Monday.
There are now 158 active cases in the county, including four active hospitalizations, and 304 recovered cases.
The seven-day average of positive test results dropped from more than 22 percent to just less than 19 percent. Of the 4,316 tests in the county, 10.7 percent have returned positive for COVID-19.
Since reporting began, 463 cases of coronavirus have been identified in the county, including one death.
