HAYS, Kan. - The Fort Hays State women's soccer team remained unbeaten in MIAA play and moved into a three-way tie for first place with a dominant 3-0 win over Central Oklahoma Sunday afternoon at the FHSU Soccer Stadium.

The Tigers (8-1-3 overall, 4-0-1 MIAA) are now tied with Washburn and Central Missouri atop the conference standings.

The Tigers outshot the Bronchos (4-3-5 overall, 1-1-3 MIAA) 8-4 in the first half and had a 1-0 lead on the scoreboard. Reilly Madden slotted the ball into the back of the net in the 22nd minute with an assist from Gracen Cheney. 

Hannah Mares extended the Tigers lead with a goal in the 62nd minute, capitalizing on an opportunity created by Montserrat Diaz and Kintzli Wagner. Skyler Forrest added the third goal in the 79th minute, with assists from Carley Walker and Claire Gaeth.

The Tigers outshot the Bronchos 15-8 with seven shots on goal compared to one for UCO.

The Tigers play the first of four-straight road contests Friday (Oct. 13) at Northeastern State.
