🎾 FHSU women earn ITA All-Academic team honor for 9th-straight year

TEMPE, Ariz. – The Fort Hays State tennis team earned ITA All-Academic Team status for the ninth-straight year in 2024-25, announced on Tuesday (July 22). In addition, seven student-athletes from the team were named ITA Scholar-Athletes for the academic year.

Suzana Faucz, Bethan Gill, Hope Lubbers, Janae Montoya, Ines Steeman, Grace Unruh, and Shreethika Vangala all received Scholar-Athlete status after recording a GPA of at least 3.50 during the latest academic year. This is the fourth-straight season the Tigers had five or more student-athletes earn the award.

The Tigers have now been named an ITA All-Academic Team in nine-straight seasons and 18 times since 2004. Teams must accumulate a GPA of 3.20 or above to earn ITA All-Academic Team recognition.

Lubbers received the ITA Scholar-Athlete distinction for a fourth time, while Unruh and Steeman earned the honor for a second-straight year.
