The Hays Young Professionals hosted a free community street dance on Friday in downtown Hays. There was live music and dancing at the Downtown Pavilion, 10th and Main, featuring Anthony and the Anamals.
The Local Food Truck, Snow Cone Express and Mijom's Ice Cream Xpress added to the event by offering food and treats throughout the evening. Event sponsors included Auto World, Eagle Radio, Hays Young Professionals, Ideal Refuse Removal & Roll-Off Service, Walmart of Hays, and Werth Wealth Management.
"HYP is thrilled to be able to provide a free, family friendly event to the community," said Natalie Ellis, chair of the HYP advisory council. "As a HYP council, hosting a free family event that is open to everyone has been something we have talked about and worked toward for some time. I am so excited and pleased to be able to be a part of a group that has put community involvement first."
