SHERMAN COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just after 5:30p.m. Saturday in Sherman County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2018 Volvo semi driven by Helix Cepero Rodriguez, 33, Brandon, Florida, was westbound on Interstate 70 at Kansas 267.
The semi started to pass a 2022 Chrysler passenger vehicle driven by William M. Summers, 87, Huntsville, Alabama. The semi failed to maintain the lane and struck the Chrysler.
EMS transported Summers to the hospital in Goodland. Rodriguez and a passenger in the Chrysler were not injured.
