Mary Louise (Romey) Wolf

Mary Louise (Romey) Wolf, 80, Hays, died Saturday, February 6, 2021 at HaysMed.

She was born September 28, 1940 in Ellis, the daughter of Tony and Marcella (Copp) Romey.  In 1959 she graduated from Ellis High School.  On June 18, 1960 she was united in marriage to Leon Wolf at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ellis, and they celebrated 60 years of marriage.  She was a housewife and loved being a daycare provider, especially when caring for her grandchildren and extended family.  Mary was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, a proud Ellis Railer and KC Royals fan, liked bowling, and was a great supporter of her grandchildren and loved attending all of their sporting events and activities.

Survivors include her husband Leon of Hays, four daughters: Kim Campbell and Pam Gaschler and husband Terry, all of Hays, Sherri Mong and husband Jerry of Las Vegas, NV, and Janelle Williams and husband Terry of Russell, a sister: Vickie Weber of Ellis, 12 grandchildren: Ashley Lang, Alexis, Allison, and Adam Campbell, Nicki Younger, Natalie Reuter, Taryn Graham, Sierra Diehl, Chelsea and Hailey Mong, Sagan Schultz and Tyler Williams, and nine great grandchildren: Anthony, Hunter, and Elyse Lang, Aleigha Reuter, Carson and Lucas Younger, and Trinity, Laylah, and Kysen Graham.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers: Bob, Kenneth, and Luke Romey.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Brian Lager officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Anthony Cemetery, Schoenchen.  Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 on Wednesday and from 9:00 am until 9:45 on Thursday, all at Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.  A vigil service and rosary will be at 7:00 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.
