Linda Joyce Matson, 76, of Norton, KS passed away March 20, 2023, at the Norton County Hospital. She was born June 22, 1946, in Schenectady, NY to John L. and Dorothy A. (Cleiss) Quante.
Linda was a 1965 graduate of Wheat Ridge High School in Colorado. Most of her adult life was spent in Colorado. She worked at her church Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Linda married Gary Matson on May 27, 1967. They moved to Norton, KS 20 years ago. Linda enjoyed gardening, flowers and traveling to Amish and Mennonite communities in Missouri with Gary.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents and brothers and sisters. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Gary of the home; daughters, Brenda Kay Steel of Denver, CO and Darcie Jo Matson of rural Bennett, CO; sister-in-law, Bev Quante of Lakewood, CO; three grandchildren and many close friends.
To celebrate Linda’s life there will be a Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 am Friday, March 24, 2023, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Norton.
