NORTON COUNTY—A Kansas man was injured in an accident just after 9a.m. Friday in Norton County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2003 Sterling driven by Billy T. Lowry, WaKeeney, was westbound on Kansas Highway 9 seven miles east of U.S. 283.
The vehicle dropped the right side tires onto the right shoulder. The vehicle began to skid back onto the roadway and then rolled over onto the right side and slid down into the south ditch.
EMS transported Lowry to the hospital in Norton. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
