Ellis County Treasury is accepting applications for a Full Time Motor Vehicle/Tax Collection Clerk. The employee in this position will need to be an experienced customer service specialist. They will be responsible for titling and registering motor vehicles, verifying information to the state, collecting property tax and/or sales tax on motor vehicles, collecting registration fees, distributing taxes collected, preparing reports, and assisting in collecting delinquent taxes. The Motor Vehicle/Tax Collection Clerk has a considerable amount of contact with the general public and should enjoy interacting with multiple people daily, some analytic responsibilities, and the need to be resourceful and adaptable to working a variety of tasks simultaneously. This position exercises a moderate amount of independent judgment.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM WORK:
High School Diploma and two years clerical and computer experience are required. College education or equivalent experience preferred.
