Kansas Energy Program
The Kansas Energy Program (KEP), part of Engineering Extension at Kansas State University, is offering a FREE Energy in Action Workshops in Hays on Oct. 20.
The hands-on workshops are designed for teachers, homeschool educators, club and youth organization leaders, after-school program staff, and others who work with students in grades 4–12. There is no registration fee, and eligible participants can receive lunch, mileage reimbursement, substitute pay, and professional development hours.

KEP wants to make energy education and professional development accessible to communities across Kansas. Participants will receive ready-to-use STEM activities, lessons, resources, and equipment focused on energy education.
During the workshops, participants will experience hands-on activities that can be used in classrooms, homeschool settings, clubs, after-school programs, and other youth learning environments. Activities will explore topics related to energy, electricity, energy efficiency, renewable energy, the power grid, and more participants will also learn about the free resources, equipment, and support available.
Through the Kansas Energy Program, including opportunities to get involved with the KidWind Challenge and K-12 Energy Benchmarking Project.
Whether you are a classroom teacher, homeschool educator, club leader, or simply looking for new ways to engage young people in STEM, the Energy in Action Workshops will provide practical activities, resources, and ongoing support to help bring energy education to life.
Space is limited, and participants are encouraged to register early.
