A public hearing for request of a setback variance will be heard by the Hays Area Planning Commission Monday.

Casey McAvoy is asking to reduce the west side yard setback by four ft. from the required five ft. to one ft. for the installation of a 10X12 ft. shed at 4108 Covenant Drive.

Another Hays resident, Leslie Smith wants to reduce the west side yard setback by three ft. from the required seven ft. to four ft. for the extension of carport at 407 E. 17th St.&nbsp; 

The commission will consider setting a public hearing date after hearing the request.
