Hays Post Sports
The Hays High girls moved up two spots to No. 6 in the latest Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association Class 5A rankings released Tuesday. The Indians continue to have five individuals ranked. Junior Timber Lovewell remained third at 145 as did senior Lexi Barnett 155. Junior Eleanor Stoffel held steady in fourth at 190, freshman Audrey Yarmer moved up one spot to fifth at 105 while junior Kenlee Vehige dropped a spot to sixth at 120.
No change for the Hays boys who continue to have three ranked. Senior Johnny Rigler remained third at 190, sophomore Archer Amrein fifth at 175 and junior Tanner Geist is sixth at 285.
No change in the 3-2-1A girls rankings. Russell remained No. 1, Norton second, Oakley third, Plainville fourth, Smith Center sixth and Phillipsburg eighth.
The Hoxie boys continue to hold down the top spot in the 3-2-1A team rankings, Norton remained third, Ellsworth seventh, Smith Center eighth, Russell ninth and Hill City is 10th.
