The Ellis County Commission will continue work on the 2024 budget Tuesday, hearing funding requests and presentations from 22 outside agencies.
According to County Administrator Darin Myers, the initial total funding request was $1.312 million. That’s an increase of $114,849 compared to the previous year’s allocation. The commission had previously asked the agencies to keep their funding requests the same as 2023.
In other business, the commission will consider adding a fourth vehicle to the Appraiser’s office fleet and consider an update to a Building and Ground job description.
Tuesday’s meeting is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. at the Ellis County Administrative Center.
