A group of Cottonwood – Barton 4-H youth recently participated in 4-H Horse Panorama in Salina. The 4-H Horse Panorama encourages young people to develop knowledge of equine-related subject matter. The contests develop alertness, self-confidence, and knowledge in a competitive setting, surrounded by an attitude of friendliness and fairness. The educational experience is great for both the participant and spectator.

Adessa Prosser placed first in Senior Public Speaking, 5th in Senior Open Horse Quiz Bowl, 17th in Open Hippology.

Emaline Debes placed 3rd in Intermediate Demonstration/Illustrated Talk, 5th in Intermediate Photo Contest, 1st in Ad Layout, 1st in Powerpoint, 35th in Open Hippology.

Kylee Miessler placed 11th in Open Hippology.

A team of Emaline Debes, Kylee Miessler, Adessa Prosser, and Lily Rathbun placed 6th in Open Hippology.

Austyn Prosser attended as a first-timer and is looking forward to competing next year.

Many thanks to coaches Wendy Prosser, Julia Debes, Heather Miessler, and Sam Rathbun for chaperoning and helping these young people prepare!
