Clovella Vonella 'Peno' Randolph

Clovella Vonella "Peno" Randolph of Hoxie, Kansas, passed away at the Sheridan County Health Complex Long Term Care on Friday, November 18, 2022, at the age of 86. Peno was born to Vernon D. and Ethel G. (Sadil) Black on May 15, 1936, in Fairbury, Nebraska. She grew up in Nebraska, Colorado and Kansas.

Peno married Ervin D. (Dimp) Randolph on August 23, 1953. To this union two daughters were born, Susan (Randolph) Bieker and Janna (Randolph) Hulet. Throughout her life she worked in the Sheridan County Library, NWKS Library System, taught pre-school, was the manager of the Senior Meal site and owned and operated a used paperback bookstore. Peno loved reading, bowling, her cats, and spending time with her grandkids.

Peno belonged to the Presbyterian Church in Hoxie. She taught Sunday School for over 25 years and served as an Elder and Trustee. She always had a strong faith.

Peno is survived by her daughters, Susan Bieker (Larry) and Janna Hulet of Arkansas. She was blessed with four grandchildren, Lori Koster (Chad), Adam Bieker (Larissa) both of Hoxie, JenniLea Duncan (Brad) and David Hammons both of Arkansas, 12 great grandchildren, Alex, Brayden, Noah, Reagan, Gabe, Avery Koster and Chase, Peyton, and Taylor Duncan.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dimp; parents, Vernon and Ethel Black; two brothers, Omie and Billy Black, and her sister Donna Diebert.

A funeral is planned for Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at 10:30 A.M., at the Hoxie Christian Church. Visitation will be held Monday, November 21, 2022, 1:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. with family receiving friends from 5:30 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials to the Sheridan County Health Complex Long Term Care.
